The number of supporters of Argentina and Brazil in Bangladesh is relatively high. That is why people of all ages are buying the flags of these two countries. Mobile flag sellers are selling flags of different countries including Argentina and Brazil in the neighborhood.
Md. Sobahan Bhaol, a flag seller, has been selling flags from the Charkamar area of Shibchar in Madaripur to Kalapara in Patuakhali. Although his main occupation is agriculture, Sobahan earned extra income by selling flags on different occasions for 15 years.
On Friday morning, Sobahan Bhaol was seen selling flags along with bamboo in various neighborhoods in Kalapara city. He is selling small flags for Tk 10 and medium size flags for Tk 100. People from different walks of life buy flags from him.
Sobahan Bhaol said that he is buying each medium-sized flag at the rate of Tk 40 from the Chowkbazar area in Dhaka and selling it at Tk 100 in Kalapara municipality. Besides, small flags are being sold for Tk 10. He hopes to get benefits from flag-selling on the occasion of this World Cup.
An autorickshaw driver Masud, who came to buy the flag, said that his favorite team is Brazil. So he took six small flags for the younger members of the family.
Football lovers say that for the next 15 days, the flags of different countries including Argentina and Brazil will be sold in the neighborhoods of Bangladesh.
