Over 200 business leaders, investors from around the world to join the Bangladesh Business Summit

Preparations have been completed for the Bangladesh Business Summit which is to be held on March 11-13 at the BICC, Dhaka. Ministers from seven countries including the United Kingdom (UK), Saudi Arabia, China, Bhutan, United Arab Emirates, CEOs of 12 multinational companies and more than 200 foreign investors and business leaders from 17 countries of the world are going to participate in the summit.

President Md. Jashim Uddin came up with this information at a press conference held at FBCCI office on Thursday morning. He said, this summit will play an important role in leading Bangladesh’s economic potential, trade expansion and new investment growth.

Mentioning the business summit as a branding for the country the FBCCI President said, Bangladesh has immense potential for investment. 750 people have already registered to attend the summit. Apart from this, a number will attend the summit even outside the registration. He said “The business representatives are participating from the country and abroad paying a good amount of registration fee. It means people are very interested in the business environment of Bangladesh. They want to start their business here. We have to take this opportunity”.

The FBCCI president said that the three-day long summit will attract the attention of business leaders and investors from Bangladesh as well as from around the world and will serve as a platform for creating new business opportunities.

Md. Jashim Uddin said that business leaders, policy makers, heads of business delegations, representatives of international organizations will discuss about Bangladesh and the global economy at the Bangladesh Business Summit, which will play an important role in increasing investment and accelerating economic growth in Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Bangladesh Business Summit on Saturday morning at BICC. Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F. Rahman MP, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi MP, Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen will be present at the inauguration.

The organizers believe that FBCCI’s business summit in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority will help in increasing the economic capacity of Bangladesh, creating new investments and expanding business in the country.

FBCCI Senior Vice President Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Vice-Presidents M A Momen, Md. Amin Helaly, Salahuddin Alamgir, Md. Habib Ullah Dawn, M A Razzak Khan Raj, Directors, and other business leaders were present at the press conference.
